The Compliance tab inside the Mobility workspace centralises visa-expiry alerts, document-expiry alerts and right-to-work check status — so you can see your compliance posture at a glance.

Compliance, RTW Checks and Document Alerts

The Compliance tab inside the Global Mobility workspace is where compliance leads spend most of their time. It centralises three categories of alerts so you always know your team's compliance posture.

Three Alert Categories

1Visa Alerts — Cases with visas expiring in the next 30/60/90 days. Critical alerts (under 30 days remaining) are highlighted in red. The list is ranked by days-until-expiry ascending so the most urgent cases appear first. Click any case to jump to its detail view.
2Document Alerts — Documents in your Document Wallet whose expiry_date is approaching. Examples: passport copies, employment contracts, work permits, RTW certificates, photo IDs. Same red/amber colour-coding as visas.
3RTW (Right-to-Work) Checks — Cases where the most recent RTW check is missing or older than the country's required cadence. UK requires a documented RTW check on or before day 1 of employment, and follow-up checks before any time-limited permit expires.

The Summary KPIs

At the top of the Compliance tab you see four KPIs:

Visa alerts (total / critical)
Document alerts (total / critical)
RTW pending
RTW overdue

The Overview tab also shows a snapshot of these numbers in the Compliance card on the right-hand side.

Resolving an Alert

For visa alerts:

Click the case row → opens the case detail
From the case detail you can: start a renewal (jumps you to the Renewal Scheduler with the parent case_id pre-filled), update the visa expiry date manually, or mark as 'completed' if the employee has left the company

For document alerts:

Click the document row → opens the document detail
Upload a refreshed copy → new expiry_date is set → the alert clears

For RTW:

Click the RTW row → marks the check as 'in progress'
Run the RTW check (using the UK Home Office digital service or the equivalent in your country)
Upload the RTW certificate to the Document Wallet under document_type='RTW Certificate'
The Compliance tab auto-clears the alert

Notification Settings (coming Q3 2026)

Future release: per-team-member notification rules. For now compliance alerts surface only inside the dashboard. To get email alerts please email support@workium.co.uk and we will set up an alert digest manually.

Audit Trail

Every action on a compliance item (alert resolution, RTW upload, renewal start) is logged with timestamp and user. Useful for ICO inspections, employer-compliance visits and internal audits.

Integrations Roadmap

Q3 2026: One-way push to your HRIS (Workday, BambooHR, Personio) for visa-expiry alerts
Q4 2026: Two-way sync with UK Home Office's Sponsor Management System (SMS) for live CoS allocation
2027: Single-Sign-On (SSO) via SAML / OIDC for enterprise tenants
