General minimum requirements for Workium relocation programmes, including age, education, documentation, and health requirements.

General Minimum Requirements

While specific requirements vary by country and visa type, these are the general minimum criteria for most Workium relocation programmes.

Age Requirements

Most programmes: 18-55 years old
Some countries have stricter limits: Germany Blue Card has no strict upper age limit but pension contributions affect eligibility above 45
UK Skilled Worker: 18+ with no strict upper limit but points-based system favours younger applicants
Seasonal programmes: Typically 18-50

Education

Standard Work Permits: Minimum secondary school certificate for many programmes
EU Blue Card: University degree (minimum 3-year programme) recognised in the destination country
UK Skilled Worker: Varies by occupation, RQF Level 3+ (A-level equivalent) minimum
Seasonal Work: Often no formal education requirement, but relevant skills and physical fitness may be assessed
Some programmes accept vocational training, trade certifications, or extensive professional experience in lieu of formal degrees

Work Experience

Entry-level programmes: No prior experience required
Standard Work Permits: 1-2 years of relevant experience preferred
Skilled Worker and Blue Card: 2-5 years of relevant professional experience typically required
Some countries accept a combination of education and experience

Documentation (Required for All Programmes)

Valid passport (minimum 6 months validity beyond intended travel date, 12 months recommended)
Educational certificates and transcripts (originals and certified copies)
Professional CV in the format required by your destination country
Recent passport-sized photographs (specifications vary by embassy)
Work experience letters from previous employers on company letterhead
Police clearance certificate from your home country (and any country you have lived in for 12+ months)

Language

UK programmes: English proficiency required, IELTS or equivalent may be needed (minimum B1 level)
Germany: B1 German recommended for Blue Card (not always mandatory), basic German helpful for daily life
Netherlands: English is widely spoken, Dutch not required for most work permits
Other European countries: Basic local language skills are helpful but not always required for the visa
Language certification support is available as an add-on package for some destinations

Health

General good health (medical examination may be required as part of the visa application)
No serious communicable diseases
Health insurance is mandatory for many European countries, often arranged through the employer
Some countries require specific vaccinations

Financial

Sufficient funds to cover initial settlement costs (varies by country)
Bank statements showing financial stability (typically 3-6 months)
Advance payment for Workium services (this covers our processing and support fees)

Note: These are general guidelines. Always check the specific requirements for your chosen country and visa type on the country detail page or in your personalised dashboard after registration.
